Faith is a funny thing. Hebrews 11:1 tells us that we will not see what we are looking for but we must believe God will accomplish it. If we can already see it, we are not using faith — we are only observing what God has already done. Where else can we see this truth in action? To begin with, the Bible says that God’s gift ofsalvationis received by faith, not by what you do (Eph. 2:8). Years ago in England, George Mueller’s orphanages had little or no operating money, but received donations from people, often in the form of food, clothing, or service, at precise moments of need. Those believing in faith saw their daily needs of food and shelter multiplied day after day for years, yet they rarely saw the funds to keep it going.
I am also reminded of Billy Graham’s autobiography where he had a choice early in his ministry whether to buy a new car or send the money to a Biblical ministry to increase their work in South Korea. He chose the latter and today those South Korean churches attract millions of believers to their services. Billy chose to believe in what God was doing and did not worry about what he was seeing at the time.
How about you? What do you believe about LeTourneau? You have an opportunity to give to a ministry that has been impacting lives for almost 80 years. The camp needs to secure its deed to continue operating independently before any improvements can be made. I have faith that God has spoken to many of you that you can be a part of His plan for LeTourneau. Yes, the sum needed is large, but remember God is larger and He is able (Eph. 3:20-21).
If God is speaking to you, will you put your faith in action by financially supporting LeTourneau?
