We are so thankful for the Lord’s wonderful provision! The $600,000 needed to acquire LeTourneau’s deed through Phase One of our Lighting Our Future campaign has been raised. A host of saints have prayed for this day and hundreds of LeTourneau friends have given to meet this need. The final funds necessary to complete this phase arrived on August 31, 2015; one whole month before the September 30th deadline! The Lord has provided for this need through countless hours of prayer, hundreds of donations, and hours of work from some of the best of LeTourneau’s friends. The Father’s provision has been nothing short of miraculous and certainly full of loving care during this campaign. Our greatest joy and thanksgiving is in knowing that the Father has been glorified and in the knowledge that His hand is at work in this ministry.
LeTourneau’s board of directors has already begun making arrangements with Family Life Ministries to transfer the deed. Extra funds given above the $600,000 will be used to pay for the closing costs and other associated expenses of the deed transfer. If any additional funds remain, they will be used toward the next phase of the Lighting Our Future campaign. As Phase One ends, preparations have already begun for Phase Two, which includes the upkeep of LeTourneau’s facilities, starting with the imminent need for a new roof for Avis and Gerri’s home this October. Phase Two will also see the enlargement of our body of staff and volunteers, and the establishment of additional ministry programs for the glory of God and the joy of His people.
Since my family’s return from overseas, it has been our greatest desire to serve the Lord through loving and meeting the needs of His people. We are excited to be moving into a new era of ministry at LeTourneau Christian Center and are thrilled to be serving the Bride of Christ here. Our hope is to serve the churches of this region now and into the future through Christ-like hospitality with specific programs, camp outreaches, and events designed to meet some of the needs of Christ’s church. We will certainly keep you updated as we continue serving the Lord in Phase Two! Thanks to all of you for your wonderful support and care for LeTourneau. All praise to our heavenly Father who has shown His loving favor on this ministry and all those who love Him.
In the Father’s Joy,
